Hydraulic press for acrylic injection into denture flask

Denture Department

Utilizing the SR-Ivocap injection technique, the denture department at Charters Dental Arts Lab Inc. achieves the perfect fit, occlusion and compatibility - defining perfection in dental prosthesis!

The SR-Ivocap injection technique offers patients and dentists decisive advantages over the packing/pressing system.

For the patient: SR-Ivocap provides sturdy dentures that fit, restoring proper suction with no bothersome pressure points or requiring numerous adjustments by the dentist.

For the dentist:  There is no increase in vertical dimension - practically eliminating reocclusion and grinding.   This saves time and results in greater certainty for successful prosthesis.  It is the Systematic Technique that assures efficient procedure and the consistently high quality of SR-Ivocap prosthesis.

We work with dentists interested in using the most up-to-date techniques.  Although dentures are not generally the treatment of choice, the dentist who specializes in cosmetics knows that dentures are sometimes the patient's only option.  We specialize in the Ivocap System which allows the dentist to easily recommend dentures that fit comfortably, are esthetically pleasing, and dramatically cut down post-operative adjustments.

Making Dentures

Completed Dentures

The System and process

  • The system begins with predosed resin in capsules. This assures clean, perfect composition - no possibility of contamination and error-free mixing dosage monomer and polymer.
  • Mixing of the premeasured monomer and polymer is done in the patented Cap Vibrator - producing a fully homogenous mix of the materials.
  • Injection of the SR-Ivocap denture material into the flask is done under 6 bar pressure and is maintained during subsequent polymerization.
  • Controlled heat/pressure polymerization... The Ivocap unit under pressure is then placed in boiling water. The design of the flask plus the thermal insulator, enables controlled polyerization from bottom to top. Polymerization shrinkage is constantly compensated for by the continuous pressure feeding of the SR-Ivocap
    denture material.
  • Cooling... After polymerization, cooling off is done in a cold water bath. Injection and clamping pressure are retained. The SR-Ivocap denture material is still fed into the flask even during this curing process - continuing to compensate for
    shrinkage.

SR-Ivocap is universally applicable for:

Full Dentures
Partial Dentures
Bases and Relinings

SR-Ivocap Elastomer, a material
with special physical characteristics,
is especially good for:

Positioners
Athletic Mouthguards
Bruxism Splints
Bite Splints requiring elasticity
